What will I drop next?

So we're in the motorhome, left yesterday, and are headed for our first stop, Denver. Almost every time I get in the MH I drop and break something, or something drops and it breaks, just so I don't take all the blame! When we first bought our MH and we were bouncing down the highway, the pull out pantry door flew open and (2) 500 count boxes of toothpicks fell out. It was like major pick up sticks for a long time. They went everywhere. That was almost 3 years ago and I still occasionally find a toothpick or one comes rolling out from underneath the slide.

Alan installed a lever on the pull out pantry so we wouldn't have it come flying out anymore. So we were on a MH trip about 6 weeks ago. Alan turned a corner, and I guess the pantry latch bounced open (because I often check it before departure so it won't come open while traveling), because out flew a quart jar of honey. It went everywhere. The glass jar broke with the honey on top of it. It was A FULL JAR OF HONEY! So down on my knees I go and quickly try to scoop up broken glass with honey, before it oozes into every crevice and crack. I got it cleaned up with a whole roll of paper towels, checked the pantry slide out again, and vowed all food would be taken out of the slide out pantry.

We left yesterday on our 3+ week trip. The pantry latch is secure, most foods have been rearranged. Luckily, I found a bottle of olive oil just in time before it made it's way to the floor. Whew, nothing dropped so far. Last night I opened a cabinet for a glass, and out flies a glass and breaks on the tile floor. I cleaned it up, but today I've found every shaving of glass in my foot as I walk by. I keep forgetting to wear my flip flops. I guess the glass is bouncing it's way out as we drive down the road.

This poor floor has had so much dropped on it. On the last trip we realized our kitchen sink was draining outside via the basement compartment. Alan found the pipes became unconnected under the refrigerator. He repaired them, we went on our way. He told me to put sink deodorizer in the sink now that it was fixed. I put the wrong thing in it. I put the blue die stuff, not the lemony stuff he had just purchased. The repair job came undone and guess what went all over the tile floor, into the grout,, into the basement compartments, all over the compartment doors and stuff int he basement compartments? Yep, blue die. I scrubbed and bleached inside while Alan scrubbed and bleached down below. I think we got it all up, but it smells fresh in here!

I'm sure there will be plenty more drops and breakages, but it seems to happen to me a lot!
We are in Colorado, about 80 miles east of Denver. Elevation is high already but the temp is in low 80s. What a welcome change from the 96+ degree humid weather at home!

So....til next time. From sea to shining sea...(we're seeing our amber waves of grain in Kansas this trip!)
