Here are a few pictures, some of Maui, Hawaii, some of granddaughter Sadie in her travel gifts, and a picture of our garden harvest. Remember the square garden? Well, it never produced. I mean the seeds sprouted, they grew a little, then stopped. All winter they stayed the same! Dear Marce explained the compost probably wasn't aged enough to make the little plants grow. But I finally got a crop!!! I took the picture then realized it looked a lot bigger without a reference, so I had daughter Judy model her hand next to the vegetables---all the vegetables. We ate them in 2 bites, but they were good bites!!
These are pictures of the Tranquility Pool where we stayed. It was a salt water pool, there was a whirlpool, and cabanas along the side, plus outdoor lounge chairs. We loved this area, went there many times. This is the view from our cabana, just gorgeous.

The picture to the left is how the many palm trees are trimmed. This man is hanging on a small platform attached by 2 ropes and using a chainsaw. Talk about job security in Hawaii!
And here's our luggage coming home. We had to buy extra suitcases--all the flowered bags.
Here's Sadie modeling the grass skirt and lei she was given, plus some hair clips that turn a color when they're in the sunlight.

Notice the flower thingys on her feet? I bought myself some duster flip-flops. I thought maybe I could wear them and dust the barn floor. Hah! maybe not.

Here's our harvest from last fall. There are more carrot tops in the square garden but I don't think there's anything under the dirt surface. But I'll wait a week or two and check it out. Well, that's all I have for now. My sister Berte has lots of pictures--we let her be the official photographer on the trip and I think there's about 150 pictures. As soon as I get them I'll post some. We had so much fun, so relaxing, it was a trip of a lifetime. I mostly enjoyed being with my sisters and mom. Lots of laughter, lots of sights, lots to see and do. God is so good to us, to me. I have been given so many blessings and I'm so thankful. Our world is just beautiful. My family is beautiful.
Until next time. From sea to shining sea.....
